Glock Muzzle Devices - Glocks are pistols that you can improve endlessly, but perhaps the most important thing you can improve on any gun is your accuracy. Compensators are one of the easiest ways to get better grouping, but if you're not too familiar with them, we'll walk you through them. Here are the Glock compensator basics to get you started.

A compensator is an addition to the barrel designed to get you back on target faster after firing. These devices are popular solutions for reducing real and perceived recoil and improving muzzle control, both on the range and in the real world. A compensator on Glocks and other pistols helps minimize muzzle movement so you can get accurate follow-through shots.

Glock compensators pair with threaded barrels for quick and easy installation. They are caliber specific and you should choose the one that fits your camera. Although compensators add a bit of length to the pistol, they are compatible with most holsters while allowing for a quick, smooth draw.

When fired, an explosive reaction occurs that propels the bullet forward. This force creates recoil, which causes the muzzle of your gun to rise as the grip rotates around your hand. In fast-fire scenarios, recoil and muzzle rise are more pronounced and accumulate with successive shots, causing a loss of accuracy or overshooting the target.

Compensators oppose the vertical movement of the barrel with gas channels that create recoil. Their design incorporates deflection and expansion chambers that collect these gases and redirect them up and out the bottom of the barrel, keeping the muzzle on target.

Note that the compensator helps to control muzzle firing, it does not cover the flash or reduce the sound.

There are many myths about what the extension does and how it works. We've provided some facts about Glock compensators below to clear up some of the most common misconceptions:

Compensators can be a great tool to give you an edge in performance and accuracy when shooting. They help you get more accurate follow-up shots and generally tighter groupings on paper.

The muzzle rise is something shooters of all experience levels should consider—each shot will pull your gun through ten rings. Full body control is required to return the target and complete the next round.

With enough preparation, you can align your head, arms, legs, shoulders, and hips in the optimal shooting position. With a compensator, your gun will move significantly less, allowing you to do it faster. The force of the shot maintains the muzzle, which gives you much better accuracy when shooting quickly.

Because the compensator helps you stay on target and achieve more accurate shot placement, it's a great choice for home defense situations where you need to be precise and on target with your shots. Comps can also give you an advantage in competitive shooting, as increased accuracy and shot speed are necessary to achieve repeatable accuracy in a competitive situation.

Compensators are also useful when using optics. If your gun is recoiled too much, you will lose sight of the red dot on the optic when shooting. With a good grip and compensator, you can always keep your eye on the dot.

As with most guns and mounting systems, the best Glock compensator is the one you are most comfortable with. However, several brands stand out as market leaders in producing the highest quality extension cords that we trust with our precision, including:

Killer Innovation speed compensator "breaks" all the rules! This compensator significantly reduces recoil and muzzle rise and is attached in an innovative new way unlike any other compensator on the market. This revolutionary attachment system has several advantages over traditional methods.

First, it can be installed and removed without tools when using our Velocity and Sancer barrels. Cleaning your gun just got a whole lot easier! When used with other brands of barrels, tools are required to add or remove comp, but accuracy is maintained.

Second: When installed, the compensator is pushed back to the screw collar. This provides better alignment of the hole with other components that are shorter than the shoulder and then screwed or threaded. This accuracy of bore alignment ensures that the bullet passes through the center of the comp with an even air gap around the bullet. This equal air gap eliminates air drifting to one side and ball swing. Accuracy at the bottom is the ultimate goal!

All the professional shooters we had shoot this competition during testing said it was the shallowest competition they had ever shot. Do we agree or not! We ported and adjusted this comp for months until we were satisfied that it would shoot as flat as possible and still ride the slide reliably with a 13-pound spring.

If you are looking for a compensator that is highly accurate and easier to install than any other compensator on the market, look no further, we have what you need!

The PMM compensator uses a proprietary mounting system similar to all modern rifles that uses a combination of wheels and proper timing of the compensator in relation to the pistol slide.

In addition, PMM compensators use a single port design at the 12 o'clock position, which maximizes the effectiveness of the compensator by holding the pistol muzzle down and allows the pad to "track" more quickly and accurately for subsequent shots.

During testing, the PMM compensators were designed to work with most factory-loaded ammunition, but gave the best results with the +P or Nato spec cartridge. We've customized our design to integrate and complement the design of your pistol, meaning that instead of looking like the stock of your pistol, the compensator offers unmatched performance and looks.
